All the photographs on these pages were taken with Nikon digital cameras. I use only Nikkor lenses. Whenever possible, the camera has been mounted on a tripod to obtain the sharpest image possible.

All images are downloaded to a computer, edited for minor imperfections, and color corrected. The images are next sharpened and cropped (if needed). They are then saved as JPG's.

The prints I sell on this website are high quality inkjet prints. The quality of the ink and paper I use, gives these photos (with reasonable care) a life expectancy of over 100 years.

Most of my (jpg) picture files are 8 to 20 megabytes in size. This size file will produce an 8.5 x 11 photograph with very fine grain and no pixelation (jagged lines and edges). Some of my photographs have been enlarged to 4 feet by 5 feet and STILL look good. Please be assured that my photographs have the sharpness and quality as seen in 645 and 2 1/4 film formats. I take a great deal of pride in my photography and do everything possible to produce a quality end product. Any photograph I sell is available from 5 x 7 up to 13 x 19 (and in some cases even larger) - please ask for a price quote.

Digital photography is approaching film photography quality at a very rapid pace. With a decent digital camera and a computer and some good software it is now almost impossible to tell if an 8.5x11 was printed from a negative or a file. I never thought I would see the day... but, I have.
